    Have you tried using a toaster oven or skillet with solder paste? I used that method putting together Puzzlemation (see my web link). Much easier than using an iron.
    http://www.sparkfun.com has a good tutorial.

    i a planning to build an 8x8x8 cube. Maybe not color unless I can get a kit. When is yours ready?
