HypnoLSD
Driver for WS2811/WS2812 LEDs, up to 10K LEDs at 30FPS over USB or UART.
The HypnoLSD is a serial to WS2811/WS2812 LED strand driver that simplifies interfacing, reducing costs and need for custom controllers. Each HypnoLSD controls thousands of LEDs at real time rates, enough for commercial designs, artwork, hobbyist needs, lighting projects, and more. The HypnoLSD board takes standard serial input, buffers images internally, and handles the sensitive timing needs of the WS2812 LEDs, keeping images synchronized. The small factor board and low design requirements aid rapid prototyping at the hobbyist breadboard level up to integration into commercial designs.
HypnoLSD Features:
- Controls up to 10,000 WS2811 or WS2812 based LEDs.
- All LEDs can be divided between 1 to 16 strands (i.e. 1 x 10000 long strand to 16 x 625.)
- Capable of driving all LEDs at 30FPS or higher (10K LEDs @ 30FPS requires 12Mbaud connection on 16 strands.)
- Integrated 3MBaud USB controller.
- UART handles baud rates from 9.6KBaud to 12MBaud.
- 4.5V data signal for maximum compatibility.
- 100mil pin spacing compatible with breadboards.
- Powered over either USB (regardless if you use USB for communication) or 5V input pin.
