I’ve finally got the LEDs in, tested a few, and they’re right this time. So we should be packing up a pile of kits this weekend, and be back in business. To all who have been waiting, thank you for your patience!

After some back and forth got things sorted out (I hope…) with our LED supplier, and they’re sending us replacements. Barring further problems, I expect we’ll be back in stock by the end of the month. Blah.

I’m popping out of my long absence here to let people know that we’re low on stock of 4Cubes and might not be able to fulfill any new orders until January.

I know an update is long overdue in these parts, so real quick: the two most common questions I get are “are you still alive/selling” (yes) and “when is the 8Cube available?” (uh…) The 8Cube is actually getting pretty close to being done. I was hoping to have it available before the year was out, but unfortunately it looks like we’re going to miss it. So January is now the goal. I’ll try to take and post some pics so you don’t think we’re just completely making this all up.

We’re out of 4Cube PCBs until Thursday, when a new batch should arrive. Any 4Cube orders between now and then will be delayed a few days.

Update: Just to confirm, we’ve got the new PCBs, so 4Cube’s are back in stock.

As of last week, all back orders have been shipped out and we’re back in stock. Yay!

Due to a recent surge in orders, we are almost out of inventory (namely, the cases.) Orders are still open, but may be backordered. We will of course notify you promptly if your order is backordered, and you will have the option of taking a full refund instead. On Google Checkout orders, your credit card will not be charged until we can can fulfill your order (Unfortunately Paypal does not give us this flexibility.) Backordered kits should ship in 1 – 2 weeks. Finished cubes may take an additional week.

After much delay, the new instructions are available in PDF format.

I quietly updated the order page last week (though some of you sneaky people seem to have noticed and sneakily ordered,) and with the instructions finally done I guess the new cube is now officially released. Whoo!

Now to get the 8Square out the door…

(Oh yeah, the Features page still needs to be updated. Though it will probably be replaced entirely by a Products page as we offer things other than the one Cube.)

Here [hypnocube.com/Docs/UserManual_1_0.pdf] is a PDF of the user manual for the new 4×4×4 HypnoCube and the 8×8 HypnoSquare. This pertain only to devices bought after Feb 2008.

There are two sample programs with C++ sourcecode showing how to interact with the new devices. Both files are zip files containing Visual Studio 2005 projects. Read the above Manual for more information.
