New 8Square Pics

Here’s some pics of the current 8square, in its frame. This should be very close to its final form - the only planned change is that the PCB will be black.
And here it is with a diffuse acrylic face plate.
The acrylic dims the LEDs too much to look good in well lit areas, but it looks pretty slick in the dark (I’ll grab a pic later, but I was in a rush.) We’ll include both the glass and acrylic so you can choose which you prefer.

I do think “white” - frame, circuit-board, acrylic would be best… white reflacts light…
Black swallows light up!
Please do everything in white!

Yes, we’re still planning on USB functionality. Actually, that’s really the only thing holding the release up right now, Chris is working on getting image streaming over USB working so that it can be fully controlled from a PC.
ETA is tough to say - hopefully in a month or so but things always seem to go slower than we think.
White eh? We think black looks classier, but Ikea sells a white version of the frame ($5.99, I think it was) if you want to go white.

Will I be able to upgrade my 4Cube to support USB input? That’d be totally rad. Add me to the beta test list
